- Clean out all of the trash – If you have kids then you wouldn’t believe the amount of rubbish that they just throw on the ground even though you do provide them with mini trash bins inside the car. Rubbish accumulates over a period of time and so make sure that you check under the seats and down the sides of the seats as well. Cleaning out all of the trash will not only protect your carpet but will make your car smell better as well.
- Vacuuming the carpets – When you think of the number of times that your passengers get in and out of your vehicle every single day, it doesn’t bear thinking about. They are bringing in dust, dirt and grime on the soles of the shoes and this is all deposited into your carpets. This is why it makes perfect sense to wheel out the vacuum cleaner at least once a week to give your carpets a good clean. Make sure that you use the extra utensils to get down between the seats and in the space along the back seat.
- Keep the hard surfaces clean – You need to wipe down your dash and the clocks contained within it on a regular basis. Pay particular attention to the doors, the seat belts and the sideboards. There are many different cleaners that you can apply that are perfectly safe for the interior of your car and some even help the original colour to return.
